[After the meeting, after some time has passed and the clock has rung for night time, Silver makes his way back into Gold's room... And doesn't even bother to look composed, instead flopping right onto his bed and burying his head in a pillow.
[Gold's actually got a plate of leftover cream puffs (some of them are filled with spicy cream) that he's playing with, rolling them around because... they are pretty round, kind of like pokéballs with filling, until Silver speaks up.]
Dunno. [...] Sorry about startin' shit at the meeting.
[...On second thought, he's covering his face again. Or half of his face, at least.]
Team Rocket's been up to something, so I went to Lance's hideout to investigate, but he wasn't there. What was there is a bunch of Koffing, and a gym leader that had a broken up message from him.
He said something about "plates", "Arceus", and the Safari Zone. I think I had one of the plates, but I have no idea what it does or what Arceus is, so I went to the new Safari Zone to investigate.
[And then he showed up here. ...If the Wordsmith gets a hand of those plates...]
Weavile and Honchkrow both evolved in the middle of that.
[... Those cream puffs are getting set aside for now, because Gold's gonna lay next to Silver with his hands behind his head.]
Team Rocket's been spotted all around Johto doin' suspicious shit, and that Lance guy's thinkin' they're gettin' back together... to do something with the legendary Alpha Pokémon, Arceus. He wanted that old geezer Oak to send a capable trainer he could tell everything he knew about it.
[That's his piece.]
We were supposed to meet at that new Pokéathlon Dome they built near Goldenrod, but if something's happened with him...
[He trails off, waving a hand.]
Eh, it was a huge pain anyway! Seriously, why couldn't you or Crys free yourselves for a little while to deal with it? Between you disappearin' off the face of the planet and Crys dealin' with kids... there wasn't anyone left but me.
[So more than anything else, they definitely need to find Master Lance. Great. At least he's... Following the right lead. Maybe.]
What's wrong with that? [...] Even if I did free up time to go through Professor Oak, which might have cost my lead, you would have ended up tagging along anyway.
[Silver spares about a second to actually close the door, but that's all the reprieve gets before he immediately goes to sucker punch him right in the face.]
[He does. He needs to tell Polibo about this somehow, too, but he's not moving to do that.
... He's not gonna move at all for a moment, gripping the pillow with a frustrated look.]
You know, didn't really think this was fun after the first trial. Still don't think it's fun, but at least I didn't care that much about the first two.
[But he liked Alani. She was fun and cool and he wanted to find out some way to help her too, he thought it was so cool that she was the only one from her planet was going to go fight in a war against a universe-destroying monster...
It made her do this, and he's all too ready to beat that frustration out on his best friend with a pillow, let's go now buddy.]
[Because this is a group of saps... himself included, probably, depending who it is.]
Don't know how easy it is for you, but I can't stop carin' for people. [... it's pretty impossible, in fact.] I wanna know why they did what they did, but when I find out, they're already one foot into the shadowy grave! What's the point in askin'?!
[He can't help them the way he did Silver. He can't do anything but sentence them to a sure death, as clean as it is, and it sucks.]
[The trial was hell, but the next day was pretty uneventful, and they could just take it easy, try to unwind, try to settle down again before the next week.
Well, that sure as hell didn't last, because Silver wakes up in a mild panic on Sunday morning and immediately starts shaking Gold awake.]
They're tryin' to create some kinda army or whatever with Arceus and three other legendary Pokémon, and I woke up when that Archer guy was screamin' about your dad. [scorned lover much???] It's bad, dude, what the hell are we gonna do?
[... There was also something about Lance's story and stuff, but uh. That was at the beginning of his dream. It was a very, very long dream, and Gold feels like he didn't sleep at all.]
[The way the motive must've spoke to them. The weight of decision. Gold can't do anything but lay across the bed, Aibo and Polibo keeping an eye on him under the guise of playing Go Fish with the playing cards he'd gotten out of the vending machine, but he'll look over at Silver and Weavile with... it's an odd expression, something mixed between irritation and pain.]
[He says it strongly enough, but he's tugging on his gloves and all tensed up. Either way, he and Weavile are quick to join Gold on the bed, being mindful of the cards.]
[There's no real hesitation in Gold reaching over to drag Silver closer, a little rough but without malice, and Weavile's being invited to join the card game a little late.]
We ain't like that guy, and even if you don't I will.
[... But it's a little trembling at the end, because that'd mean damning Silver if he gets away with it, and even if he could time paradox it to somehow keep Silver from getting kidnapped again in the first place--
it's not worth it.]
It's too good to pass up. We could stop everything, be one step-- ten steps ahead of Team Rocket with what we know now. We could save everyone.
[It's been a long week. Three people are dead, and someone hasn't even been murdered yet. He and Gold have committed despite everything; there are some people they're willing to kill, and some they aren't, and they're to head out tonight after some brief rest and make the most out of the situation.
Although DJ Mary's been pretty nice to help them get to sleep for the last few nights, it does them no service this time. Or it doesn't do Silver any favors, anyway; he stares hard at the ceiling, hoping for a shred of peace of mind that never comes.
It's well into the night when he finally calls out.]
[... So no, definitely not. Even DJ Mary doesn't help. It just makes him homesick, it reminds him of what the stakes are and what they can do if they succeed, and he's patting around for Silver's face. There, there it is.]
You wanna take a walk? [Find someone easy.] I don't really wanna wake these guys just 'cause we're havin' trouble.
[Not risking their Pokémon to possibly being killed.]
[...Their Pokémon can wait right here. Silver climbs out of bed- Weavile wakes up, but doesn't move- and writes a quick note to the Pokémon: Gone out. We'll come back for you. With that out of the way, he's heading towards the door.]
C'mon.
[He's checking the hallway for anyone nearby before slipping out.]
[Gold'll follow after him, hands in his pockets and keeping a low volume. Aibo turns curiously as they leave, but Weavile not going with will get him to settle back down again.]
So what's the plan?
[Are they gonna just look in every room, are they gonna pick one and stick with it, what.]
Week 1, Tuesday
He takes a moment, but eventually-]
What do you want to talk about first?

Dunno. [...] Sorry about startin' shit at the meeting.
[Just. Getting that out there.]
