It's called "having consideration of others regardless of your correct assumptions", Silver. I'd like to have that honor sometime.
[But he really doesn't mind, tearing off an unbitten piece of his pretzel idly to see if Totodile'll like it. He's already endeared himself to one pet, might as well see if he can't do it again.]
You'll earn it in time, I'm certain. [ A light pat on the shoulder, Akechi. Comforting, if it weren't so flippant. ] We'll have no choice but to become more considerate of each other, sharing the same space.
I also have no issue. [ Horror sounds fun too, she's down for it. As long as they're like, good horror movies. Well, the so-bad-they're-good ones wouldn't be bad either... ] What do you find questionable about them?
... And how long must we be a human pyramid for, while I'm asking questions?
[Oh thank god he can get off the floor too, then--]
That's fine with me, Silver, but to answer your question Miss Velveteen -- romcoms are based on the problem of forced miscommunication. In order for certain things to occur, it must never cross the minds of anyone involved to simply ask, and it's a poor frame to build a story with.
Perhaps they're too scared to ask—perhaps they think it's too stupid a question, or that the answer is obvious based on their perception on one situation or another. [ ...... ] Though, I haven't watched so many of them, so perhaps that's merely my biased opinion... Do you see them often, Akechi?
[He..... doesn't want to answer the question if he watches a lot of romcoms, because the answer is yes and the follow up of "why do you watch them if you don't like them" has claims to an embarrassing reason, so he stands and takes his pretzel from Elizabeth, tearing off a piece to offer to Silver.]
A classic. Maybe we can pick up some DVDs while we're here.
IncorriGirls or something... [ ...Akechi ignored her question, she's frowning at him for a second before she decides it's not worth chasing at the moment. They'll be living together, after all.
She has allllllllllll the time in the world to hound him for answers if she feels the need to. ] Is there a clearance rack for those as well, or are you two submitting to buying them full-price?
[He has no issues with pirating entertainment but he... can't say that, because that opens him up to a world of teasing from Silver. Goro simply gives the boy a soured look, shaking his head and smiling at Elizabeth.]
They have something like that too, yes, though it's more economical to go to a bargain store and look through the bins there. They have a variety of DVDs available, from the old to those that've come out in the last few years.
[but he will pick up like, a DVD or two here just for appearances sake. provided they're something he can get more than one play out of.]
[ [tamaki voice] so this is how commoners live... ]
And it's even more economical to simply pirate things. [ ahahaha. ] Truthfully, I do like paying for things though—especially for franchises and such that I like. It's important that they're aware people enjoy their product, and in turn, they'll release more like it.
Even if I feel like being a contributing member of society, it's cheaper to buy a streaming service or digital copies. You get more value out of your money.
[What he's trying to say is that he has crunchy roll.]
[... Maybe he should look into at least getting Netflix so he and Akira aren't depending on shitty streaming sites and risking viruses from torrents... ah, that'd make movie nights nicer too, they have such a selection...
excuse him he's just going to run into someone's shopping chart full speed, oh god, he's sorry, he's sorry, that was entirely his fault--]
[ ...Let her help you, Goro, she'll be your guide, you lost little lamb... ]
You're right, I suppose... It's hard to lose things digitally, whereas physical copies can be lost between moves... [ Also— ] Please watch your step, Akechi.

[Totodile takes the pretzel and swallows it whole, his expression unchanging the whole time.]
I need a three man pyramid. Get on the ground, Goro.
no subject
Wow, Silver.]
In public?
no subject
Should I get down as well?
[ ... c'mon Goro, public isn't so bad. ]

[He's already getting down on the damn floor.]
You go on top, Liz.
no subject
He will... reluctantly get down as well, handing off the rest of his pretzel to Elizabeth for safekeeping.]
At least this is one way to bond with my new roommates. Let's stick to movies after this.
no subject
What sort of movies? I don't have a preference myself, really.
no subject
[Look, Goro's going to send them down into a murder mystery, Silver likes a bunch of anime stuff- let's start with some neutral ground here.]
no subject
I have no issue with that. There are some good ones, after all, even if most tend to be... questionable. I'd like to watch some horror movies too.
no subject
... And how long must we be a human pyramid for, while I'm asking questions?
no subject
[Not that he's opposed to horror movies, but he might as well get the good stuff in where he can.]
It's okay to move now, Liz.

We could do a chick flick instead. What's that old one again? Mean Girls?

[Before Goro can start to judge him, Silver brushes himself off and gets moving.]
Let's go find the clearance racks.

My apologies. My thoughts tend to run away from me at times.

[He shrugs, like that was a perfectly reasonable thing to say, then puts a hand on Goro's head.]
I don't need to carry you, do I?
