It's not something that most seem to take into consideration, unfortunately enough - most are content to eat whatever's in front of them, it's almost repulsive in ways - but humans certainly do taste different from one another, it's-

...I may not have a direct frame of reference, but I do understand how humans feel about food, you know. At least, I believe I do - the works of various gourmets and other people who specialize in such things have always been interesting to me, I read them all the time.

So you don't have to worry about explaining things like that in terms I'll understand; I have some idea of what you're talking about.
