[This is just a normal day. A normal day of making lunch and hanging out in the house with Silver! Which, thankfully, it's gotten much less awkward lately. At least on his end. The dust has settled and he's a new man.
Tomato sandwiches were the popular dish of the day, a thin layer of mayo, a pinch of salt... Okay listen, Ludger likes a lot of tomato dishes and this one is no different. He'll sit the plate down in front of Silver, cut diagonally, and ready to be eaten.]
[Ludger's food is always good, and his sandwiches are no different.
Silver nods and quickly thanks him for the food; half of that sandwich is gone in seconds. The second half he'll eat more like a sane person, but... Something occurs to him before he takes another bite.]
... When I destroyed worlds it was worse. Absolutely nothing was left after that. There wasn't even a fragment left of their world. It's not something anyone should have to do.
[At least he isn't the only one, yeah. He can't tell if that's a good or bad thing. But that's expected. Though, he does know one thing.]
... People react to things in different ways. I don't know if you necessarily need to feel a particular way about it, as long as you know it's something that you shouldn't do.
[...Damn this place and it's emotional reactions--
Ludger bringing him a delicious sandwich, Tsukiyama excited after flying on Honchkrow, Ryuunosuke's face absolutely lighting up and getting covered with glitter, every day he works at the restaurant, he has it so good here.
The air is warm again in an instant and then some.]

Here you go, Silver.

Hey, Ludger? Can I ask you something?
no subject
[Silver asking questions usually has mixed results so uh. This should be interesting.]
What is it?
no subject
[Well this is off to a great start-]
How do you feel, when you kill them? When they die?
no subject
[More than can be counted, really. How does he feel? Well, uh... good question.]
Guilty. When you kill someone, you take away the thing that's most important to them.

Silver looks at Ludger for a little longer. Tilts his head a little. Go on.]
no subject
[Which was literal, in his case.]
... When I destroyed worlds it was worse. Absolutely nothing was left after that. There wasn't even a fragment left of their world. It's not something anyone should have to do.
no subject
[That you had to do that. That he asked. Maybe a bit of both. This really isn't an easy topic; the air is warm and gentle around him.]
no subject
I am too.
[For furthering his kill count here. Anyway...]
Why were you wondering?
no subject
[But it is something, apparently.]
no subject
[Silver pls.]
no subject
Back when Sosyne showed up, I ended up killing a handful of people.
[It wasn't just Ludger. Or just the two of them. Plenty of people did it.]
But I don't feel anything about it. I think I'm supposed to care when I kill someone, but I don't.
[...It's not a lie. It's not the whole story, but it's a part of it.]

... People react to things in different ways. I don't know if you necessarily need to feel a particular way about it, as long as you know it's something that you shouldn't do.
no subject
Right.
[There's a slight chill to his words.]
no subject
What's wrong?
[Really, what kind of not!dad would he be if he couldn't feel that shift?]

Nothing.
no subject
Okay.
[Well then he'll eat his own sandwich, then.]
