[He's certainly old enough to evolve at this point. Regardless, Silver pulls a Cheri berry off of one of the plants in his room and offers it to Pibu as he speaks. ...He probably shouldn't encourage eating on top of his head while his hair is still wet, but whatever. There's a towel between them.]

[Pibu will take that from you, oh he loves Cheri berries, don't mind if he chows down--]

Pibu definitely wants to evolve too! Right, buddy?

He doesn't evolve through trading, and there's never been an evolutionary line that's evolved twice with stones.

[Two different stones, sure- there's Gloom, which will evolve into Vileplume or Bellossom, depending on which stone you use, and there are Pokémon with multiple evolution methods, like Feebas into Milotic.

But for now, Silver gives Pibu a gentle pet on the head while he eats and considers his next words carefully.]

If his evolution is something else, there's a big chance you won't find a method of evolving him here.

[Flat disappointment. Pibu's ear twitch at it, and Gold turns away with a wave.]

Man, some help you are! Guess you don't know as much as I thought you did -- c'mon Pibu, we'll find out how on our own!

[It's said slowly, because it's been a while and he doesn't like to admit his wrongs so easily anyway. He's still turned away though.]

[Well, he certainly isn't trusting Pibu right now.]

Why don't you trade him to me for a little while? I'll see what I can do to figure out how he evolves.

[He's got a pretty casual tone, it's not judging either way; Pibu nods, then remembers that Gold can't see him and gives an affirmative pii.

Gold's shoulder shrug and he pivots on his heel, grinning lightly with his hands in his pockets.]

Alright then! That settles that. Thanks for doin' this for us, man, I figure that the whole dunamis thing is gonna be nice to kick your ass with, but there ain't nothin' wrong with havin' a second Pokémon that can clean up that water problem you've got.

[Silver yanks a Pokéball off of his belt and offers it to Gold in exchange.]

Better to have more water types than none. Be gentle with Gyarados. He's been through a lot.

Don't worry, we'll be snug as two Ledyba in a rug.

[Though seriously, he's kind of touched at being trusted with Gyarados, considering what the big guy's been through.]

[Silver's getting Gold's finger pointed in his face, grin widening into something reminiscent of the battle they had a good half year ago.]
