[It's a long time coming, in her opinion, especially with having been friends for a year. This is like, the longest time she's had friends since the Great Collapse! It's important, and... well, she feels bad about always bringing bad news to Silver, in the worst of ways at the worst of times, so White's gonna do her best to... not do that. Any of that.
She'll send him a message later in the day (nearing night more) to meet her at his favorite spot in the forest, since he's shown her once it and all, and there's something a little unusual on the way there: adorable little orbs of light lighting the way! So nice.
White's just hanging out in a tree, holding a small basket with different flowers and something tucked in the center of them, and she'll wave at Silver (and Weavile, who's probably come with him), surrounded by those pretty orbs.]
Sorry to call you out so late, but these don't work that well during the day.
[You know, he's not really sure why White dragged him out this late at night, but the orbs of light are a nice touch. Weavile jumps to paw at one of them, and Silver can't help but brushing his fingers through one of them himself, just to see if it disappears or stays the same.
Really, he should have expected White to be surrounded with them, but that's not the first way to describe it that comes to mind. She's glowing. Shining. It's like a spotlight is right on her, and... It's a little embarrassing, really, so he takes a moment to awkwardly grab the back of his neck while Weavile scurries to White's side.]
[They shimmer when you touch them, for the record, like they're going to disappear completely, but they just fade in strength. Dimmer.
White grins, scratching Weavile's cheek, and the lights seem to brighten a bit more before they return to their previous level.]
I'd hope so after almost a year of using it! It never feels like I'm at the same level as other people though, and it's not like this is anything cool or useful...
[Just some pretty lights. The barrier thing she can do is better, but it's also not something she needs to use very often. Just when things get shitty in the city.]
But I like it. And who knows? Maybe I'll be able to do something cooler sometime, like projections.
[That seems like something that would suit White, but he's not sure if that's something he should really say out loud. Either way, he makes his way up to the branch White is in fairly easily and gets settled.]
If it helps, I'm not very good at it either. Crys and Gold are picking up on it way faster than I am.
[... Illusions would be really cool. It'd be fun to prank people with too, and she leans against Silver as she thinks about it.]
I wonder why. I mean, my block came from... not really accepting my emotions, I guess, and when I started to do that it got easier.
[Though not completely. She shakes her head.]
But today-- tonight isn't about me, Silver, it's about you! I, um, I wanted to do something for you, since you've been really good to me and... I know I haven't been the best to you, and I'm sorry about that. I should trust you more.
[Because he won't cut her off or hurt her the way her fears keep calling into question. White's going to set the basket in his lap, and when she'd asked for flowers about gratitude and friendship from the florist she'd gotten dahlia and geranium; "There won't be any mistaking how grateful you are with these," or so she'd been told, but she doubts Silver knows their meanings anyway. They're just pretty.
In the middle is a clear bag of chocolates, tied closed with a silver bow.]
So that's for you. To thank you. We've been friends for a year now, you know? I'm really glad -- you were the first person that I kind of understood here, that didn't make me feel all that alone, and... I've always been grateful for that. You're a great guy, Silver, and I couldn't be happier to have you nearby.
Silver tugs on the bow gently and pulls off his gloves; his gloves aren't particularly clean and they certainly don't need chocolate all over them, either. It's clear from the second that he puts one in his mouth that White made these, because otherwise they wouldn't taste nearly as good.
That's a nice part of this world, really. You can taste the love and care that goes into cooking. And it warms up pretty significantly as he eats it; it hardly feels cold enough to be an early autumn day.]
Trust isn't easy. You don't have to rush it. ...Still, thank you.
[He takes one and holds it in front of White's mouth; sure, they're for him, but she should enjoy them, too.]
[White almost reaches out to take it with her hand before thinking better and just taking it with her mouth, squeezing her eyes tight with a pleased giggle as the orbs turn a pinker color. These really did come out good..!]
It took a while to get something I was happy with, so I'm glad you think so! Cooking is definitely more of Black's area -- ever since we were kids he always stuck at our mom's side, watching her cook and helping out when he could.
[While she enjoyed being outside more with her dad until they got called in for food.]
Does Miss Milla teach you a lot? Or have you had to learn on your own? If you've learned anything, I mean.
I'd really like that, Silver! Maybe we can help each other practice or something.
[... Cooking together would be cute too... She's kicking her feet lightly at the thought of it.]
I'd be nice to be able bake more than cookies too. Do you like cheesecake? New York had some of the best before it transformed into Hellsalem's Lot, but I don't know if it was any good afterwards.
[... Please never assume a cheesecake is a wedge of cheese with icing on it, oh my god.]
I wouldn't mind that! Miss Milla's someone that I really respect, so being in the same kitchen as her would be-- it'd be amazing. Even if I wouldn't really mind if it was just you and me either.

You've gotten a lot better at dunamis.
[...Smooth, Silver.]

[And a lot tastier things, at that. Milla and Ludger are both incredible when it comes to food.]
It wouldn't be as tasty as something she'd make, but I can cook for you sometime, if you'd like.
[If she's going to make him chocolates, he might as well return the favor, right?]

I've never had it.
[That's the weird looking one, and not a wedge of cheese with icing on it. ...He thinks.]
We should try to make some together. Maybe Milla will help.

It can't be too hard to figure out, right?
[Silver you sweet summer child.]

[there are things that can go wrong with cheesecake and you are going to roll low on every check.]
And who knows, maybe love'll help us out. It is pretty literal here with the whole "putting love in food".
