[That and they'd discussed it before. Nagito is at work but thankfully no one is in the shop right now. Or they might have caught the way his tea started to boil.]

You're familiar with my old ideas of hope. That through the deepest despair, true hope could be born. That is a view I carried into what happened back home. Before I did what I did, committed to that view. I met a person I very much admired.

[He's very aware he's stalling but then again going the round about way to the point is how he always does things.]

He couldn't remember his talent and that never stopped him from being our equal! It didn't stop him even when he found out he had nothing. Always, no matter what he stood tall and strong.

...and it seems it hasn't stopped him at all when the truth of what we were, the despair that broke the world and the things he did specifically came to light.

[Not the point at all. He doesn't even notice the splash of conflicting feelings filtering in. From rage, disgust, joy, pride, even some fondness. Best not to think about it.]

His name is Hinata Hajime.
